The Alternative Center for Education, (A.C.E), is an alternative campus which utilizes an accelerated instructional program to assist students "at-risk" of dropping out of high school earn credits and get back on track to graduate.

A.C.E. also incorporates a self-paced tutorial program and an internet interactive instructional program that allows students to obtain credit for high school courses in approximately half the time as required in the traditional high school. As students successfully complete credit for a course, they are then enrolled into another course.

Certified teachers in mathematics, social studies, English, science, and marketing instruct students using non-traditional methods to deliver instruction.

Program Strengths:

• Non-traditional class structure allowing more time for students to work on course work
• A second chance for students to graduate who otherwise would drop out of school
• An opportunity for students to catch up on credits and graduate with their class or soon thereafter
• An opportunity for students to receive individualized instruction
• A shorter school day to accommodate students who have jobs to support themselves and/or their families

ACE Serves Students:

• Ages 16-21
• Experiencing a lack of academic success or motivation
• Two or more years below grade level in math or reading
• Over-aged for their grade level
• Who are teen parents
• Not eligible to graduate from high school within four years
