The sudden loss of a sixth grade student at Flour Bluff Intermediate has prompted an outpouring of support for her family, friends and school staff. The 12 year-old girl passed away Tuesday September 29^th from complications of the swine flu.

The PTA at the Intermediate School has set up a fund to assist with funeral expenses and to help the family during this tragic time. We are respecting the family's wishes to not release the student's name to the public. Donations are being accepted at the Intermediate Campus, 2505 Waldron Road (78418), or can be collected by one of the PTA officers. We appreciate any help you can offer to the family during this terrible time and appreciate your assistance in spreading the word about the community's efforts.
