| Craft Training Center Information Meeting |
The Craft Training Center of the Coastal Bend (CTCCB) is conducting informational meetings for parents and students who are currently Juniors or Seniors at Flour Bluff High School. The Craft Training Center is a non-profit organization that conducts skilled training for the entire Coastal Bend area. Corpus Christi industrial owners and contractors are working together to solve the growing manpower shortages facing the South Texas construction industry. This training is offered through Electrical and Insulating Apprenticeship programs and courses including Pipefitting, Welding, Industrial Painting, Scaffold Building and Instrument Fittingcareers that lead to an excellent wage and potential for growth into supervisory roles. The Craft Training Center teaches trade skills that result in certification in the field. Because the Craft Training Center is supported by local contractors and owners, students who successfully complete the program and drug screening are generally hired at a competitive wage to fill local jobs in the industry.
Parent information meetings will be held March 24 and March 26 at 6:00 p.m. in the high school teaching theater.
