Intermediate students help gather and pack items for the Operation Bravo Company Hornets program sponsored district-wide. |
| Operation: Bravo Company Hornets |
Campuses and departments district-wide have joined in an effort to support 105 soldiers from Bravo Company, 2-4 Battalion, stationed in Iraq until December 2008. Each campus has adopted soldiers in which they write cards, letters and send care packages on a monthly basis. FBISD has monthly communication from one of our own, CH Fisher, a former teacher at FBHS who is now the Chaplain for Bravo company and helps coordinate this effort.
To date 24 boxes have been mailed. The District is seeking community businesses and partners to help cover the cost of postage which is averaging approximately $25 a package.
This has been a learning and serving project by both students and staff to know our military heros are certainly not forgotten by those at home.
