Hornet Marching Band in the stadium for the "parade of athletes"
during the 10th Annual
Hornet Swarm.
Welcome Back Hornets!
The 2007-2008 school year has started off great despite road conditions and rain! We are happy to have everyone on board and ready to share the vision, meet the challenge and achieve excellence!

Our 10th Annual Hornet Swarm was a success. We recognized our student athletes, coaches, school board members and administration. It was a great evening celebrating the Swarm, parent's night, John Paul Barta night and a very close football game. The 2007 season has started, and we look forward to seeing our volleyball, football, tennis and cross country teams in the play-offs!

GO HORNETS! Every Student is Worth My Best!

Students Excel in Summer Activities
At the August 30, 2007, school board meeting, senior Sam Smith was recognized for his efforts at the 2007 AAU National Summer Track finals held in Knoxville, Tennessee. Sam placed 11th in the young men division in shot put, missing the top ten only by 1/4 inch!

Former Hornet swimmers Ryan and Megan Latone made it to the Summer Olympics Swim Trials to be held July 1, 2008. Stay tuned to the summer Olympics to see if there are "Hornets" in the pool!

Congratulations to Holly Dinh, a junior at Flour Bluff High School. She won honorable mention in an essay contest sponsored by the Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project.
