Red Ribbon Week Celebrated at FBISD
|
|
Flour Bluff I.S.D. celebrated Red Ribbon Week October 22-26 at all campuses. Special events were scheduled throughout the week district wide. High school athletes visited the kindergarten classes and read to them and some gave speeches at special assemblies about making good choices. The Varsity Volleyball team made a special appearance at one pep rally and handed out autographed trading cards to students. There were special days to dress in their favorite sports team attire, crazy socks, hats, and even camouflage clothing. The Primary School celebrated one day as "Drugs Are Not In My Character". On this day, students dressed up as their favorite storybook character and had a parade inside their building.
