Junior High Science Olympiad
Congratulations to the FBJH Science Olympiad Team. Fifteen students from FBJH placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the Regional Science Olympiad tournament qualifying for the State competition in April. This was the first time FBJH students have participated in this event. The Science Olympiad was made possible by grants from the Flour Bluff ISD Foundation for Educational Excellence.

FBHS NJROTC
The Flour Bluff High School NJROTC will be competing for their 10th consecutive Navy National Championship on April 7-8 in Pensacola, Florida. The district and community is invited to a "Send Off" scheduled for Wednesday, April 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school cafetorium.

Primary Chess Team
The Primary School Chess Team won first place at the March Madness Chess tournament in Kingsville March 25-26. This is their first time to receive "First Place" at a tournament.

JH UIL Sight Reading Concert
Congratulations to the Junior High 1st, 2nd and 3rd bands. They all received a 1 in concert and a 2 in sight reading at the contest held March 29 at FBISD.

Operation Graduation Talent Show
FBHS Operation Graduation is hosting a talent show on Saturday, April 1 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. There are over 30 acts scheduled to perform. Cost is $5 at the door.

Special Olympics
Flour Bluff ISD will host Special Olympics on Saturday, April 1 at Hornet Stadium. Opening ceremonies will begin at 8:00 a.m.

Junior High Student Council Conference
FBJH Student Council is hosting the Area Student Council Conference on Saturday, April 1 at FBJH. Over 20 schools are expected to attend.

Librarian Appreciation Day
Flour Bluff ISD will celebrate Librarian Appreciation Day on Wednesday, April 5th. Help us recognize our librarians across the district as we say "thank you" for all their help and support with our students.

Intermediate Student Wins Poster Contest
Will Powell represented Flour Bluff and Corpus Christi at the Regional level of the Arbor Day Poster Contest sponsored by Beautify Corpus Christi and the National Forrest Service. Will's poster was selected as one of five to advance to State on April 28. Beautify Corpus Christi will also plant a tree at the Intermediate Campus in honor of Will.

Daylight Savings Time
Don't forget that we will all "spring forward" this weekend as Daylight Savings Time officially begins at 2 a.m. Sunday. Move those clocks forward by one hour to be at school on time Monday morning.
