Science Fair Winners
Congratulations to FBJH Science Fair winners: Steven Litz - 1st, Amy Dittus - 2nd, Kristina Perry - 3rd, Darrell Itillenbery - 4th, Allison Clark - 5th, Chelsea Nolte -6th and Kemper Christensen - Honorable Mention. These students will represent FBJH at the 18th Annual Coastal Bend Science Fair on April 28-30.

Congratulation also goes to FB Elementary students Taylor Foster, Jamie Gonzales, Jonah Harolds, Kyle Winthrope, Nicholas Boxwell, Michaela Garza, Dallas Purcell and Hunter Paradise who will advance to the Coastal Bend Science Fair representing Flour Bluff Elementary School.


eCYBERMISSION Team
Congratulations to the FBJH Team "The Fantastic Four" Allison Clark, Emi Kyle, Lisette Linares and Ellie Gillum. This team received the South West Division Award for Collaboration and Communication will each receive a $2,000 savings bond.

Certified Cisco Network Exam
Congratulations to Dallas Dees, FBHS senior who passed the Cisco 802-21 Certification Exam and has become a fully certified Cisco Network Associate. Dallas took the exam as part of his Cisco coursework during his junior year and was recently notified that he passed.

UIL Choir Results
Congratulations to the Junior High Mixed Choir who competed at TAMUCC recently and received 1-1-2 in concert and a 2-3-3 in sight reading. The High School Boys Choir received a 1-1-2 in concert and a 3-3-4 in sight reading. The High School Girls Choir received a 2-2-2 in concert and a 1-2-2 in sight reading. The High School Mixed Choir received a 2-3-3 in concert and a 1-2-2 in sight reading.

THSCA All Star Game
Andre McCorkle was selected to play in the Texas High School Coaches Association All Star Game on August 1, 2006. The game will be at Darrell K. Royal Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas.

NJROTC Wins 10th Consecutive Championship
Flour Bluff High School NJROTC has claimed their 10th consecutive Navy National Championship title. Cadets competed in individual and team events April 7-8 in Pensacola, Florida. The team placed first in Academics, Armed Drill, Overall Drill and Unit Inspection They also placed 2nd in Unarmed Basic Drill, 4th in Armed Basic Drill and 5th in Unarmed Drill. There is a community celebration planned to recognize the team on Wednesday, April 26 at 6:00 in the high school cafetorium.

VASE Competition
Congratulations to FBHS art students Lii Benson, Ryan Geendron, Aaron Kimmel and Jessica Swenson who received medals at the Visual Art Scholastic Event in Houston, Texas on April 7-8, 2006.

Tennis District Champions
Flour Bluff High School and Junior High can both claim victory as District 4-A Tennis Champions for 2006. The JH competed on April 1 and the HS competed on April 8. This is the third consecutive year as District Champions for the HS Team.

TMSCA Champions
Flour Bluff 6th, 7th and 8th graders won 1st place at the Texas Math Science Coaches Association competition April 8 at UTSA. The combined scores of the students gave Flour Bluff the title of State Champions once again. Both Flour Bluff Junior High and High School are the TMSCA State Champions for 2006.

Junior High Swim Team
For the third straight year the FBJH girls and boys swim team distinguished themselves by winning the district swimming championship. They will compete at the JH State Invitational in San Antonio on April 29, 2006.

Region 14 UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest
Flour Bluff High School was the only school to receive Sweepstakes (1 in concert, 1 in Sightreading) with two of its competition organization. All three of the FB groups received a 1st Division in Concert. The Wind Ensemble and Honors Bands received the Sweepstakes Award and the Symphonic Band received a one in Concert and a three in Sightreading.

"Pennies for Patients"
Flour Bluff Elementary received notice from the Leukemia and Lymphoma society that FBE was the top fundrasing school in South Texas with $1,220.32 for "Pennies for Patients". The society sent a banner to the school to be displayed in front of the building.
