Athletic Marquee

The Flour Bluff Athletic Booster Club donated a new electronic marquee to the athletic department recently. If you have driven along Waldron Road, perhaps you have seen it on the outer wall of the athletic wing. According to James McMinn, FBISD Athletic Director, "This will help enhance our communications with the public regarding athletic events. We appreciate very much the efforts of the Athletic Booster Club." The marquee will advertise athletic activities, and the athletic office will post the information. In addition to athletic events, the marquee message will rotate the current date and temperature. GO HORNETS!!!!

In addition to the outside brick, the roof decking has been completed as well as the inside masonry work. According to Dale Mecom, FBISD Maintenance Director, the structure was scheduled to be completed by October 1st. However, with the rain delays, it will probably be November 1st.
