| Students Receive Heart Health Lesson |
Mrs. Kroll's first grade class was treated to a heart health lesson from local physician Dr. Foster. The students were able to see a model of a heart and learn how it works. They were also taught about healthy food choices, exercise, and not smoking to promote healthier hearts for their future. |
| Operation Graduation Golf Tournament |
Flour Bluff High School Operation Graduation is holding their annual golf tournament on Saturday, March 27 at the NAS Gulfwinds Golf Course. It is a four member scramble format and a $225 entry fee. All monies raised will go toward the alcohol/drug free lock-in on graduation night, May 27, at the Corpus Christi Athletic Club. Entry forms and sponsorship forms are available from any operation graduation committee person or you can call Cynthia Rasmusson at 728-6284. |

| Hornet Techno Expo |
To help kick off Texas Public Schools Week, FBISD will hold a Hornet Techno Expo on Saturday, March 6 at the Intermediate School from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Expo will feature the latest technology applications being used in classrooms across the district from grades K-12. Demonstrations will also be available for district applications such as Parent Portal, MyNutriKids Lunch Program and the District website and calendar. The event is open to the public as well as parents and students of FBISD. Vendors will be selling food, drinks and other items. | FB NJROTC State Champions |
Flour Bluff NJROTC competed against the best Navy Junior ROTC cadets from across Texas on February 26-27, 2010 at Texas A&M College Station and for the sixteenth year in a row they came back as State Champions!

| Band UIL Solo and Ensemble |
Members of the FBJH and FBHS Band participated at the UIL Solo and Ensemble contest at Texas A&M Kingsville and came away with top honors. Students who qualified for the State Solo and Ensemble contest to be held May 30 at the University of Texas are:

| Texas Public Schools Week |
Flour Bluff ISD will celebrate Texas Public Schools Week March 8-12. Open houses will be scheduled at each campus during this week. Campuses will also be showcasing technology in the classroom and each campus will have scheduled activities throughout the week. For more information go to the district website. |

| Skills USA District Results |
Congratulations to the Flour Bluff High School Skills USA team on their outstanding win at the District 12 competition held in Victoria, Texas on February 26. The team won 1st Place for Outstanding Chapter out of 47 chapters represented. Results are as follows:
