There will be a community send-off on April 6, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. in the Flour Bluff High School cafetroium for the 8th time NJROTC Navy National Champions as they prepare to depart for Pensacola, Florida where they will compete for their 9th straight title. Faculty, students, parents and community members are invited to participate to wish them well.
Cadets will also be practicing some of their drills for the audience during this time. The bus is scheduled to depart FBHS at 7:00 p.m. arriving in Pensacola early Thursday morning.
The Navy Nationals begin on Friday, April 8 and will end on Saturday, April 9 with the presentation of awards to begin at approximately 7:00 p.m. The cadets are due to return home on Sunday, April 10 where a welcome home rally is scheduled at the high school at approximately 2:00 p.m.
