The Flour Bluff High School 2005-2006 varsity cheerleading squad won the USC Camp Champions’ Trophy at the Universal Cheerleaders Association summer camp held on the campus of Texas A&M University at College Station.
The eighteen member squad won the Extreme Dance routine in the Large Varsity Division.
The squad’s weekly 6:30 am practice sessions prior to camp helped them incorporate elite stunts into their dance routine. The UCA staff was very complementary and recognized the teams’ commitment to performing elite stunts that require good technique, precision and many hours of practice. The squad won Superior blue ribbon awards throughout the week during the camp’s nightly evaluations by the UCA staff.
Three team members, Tana Neighbors, Jessika Bailey, and Lauren Rader were named to the All Star squad that will be traveling to England to perform in the London New Year’s Day Parade. Tana Neighbors, Megan Talley, Ashley Lewis and Kayla Holsonback, team captains, received invitations to participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade held in New York City.
