At this time, Flour Bluff Independent School District has received information from the Corpus Christi, Nueces County Public Health District regarding a confirmed case of H1N1. The district has doubled its efforts at sanitizing and cleaning all facilities and buses to protect the safety of all students and staff. We encourage families to continue to emphasize good hygiene. The district has also ordered immunizations for H1N1 and expects to receive shipments in early-to-mid October. If you, your child, or any family member experience symptoms of the flu, such as a temperature over 100 degrees, body aches, cough, or sore throat, you are encouraged to seek medical attention within 48 hours and to remain home until fever-free for at least 24 hours, without the assistance of medication. FBISD continues to consult directly with the Health District and all schools remain open at this time. The safety of our students and staff is our utmost concern. |
