Data Processing and Communications Resources Administrative Regulations

The regulations stated in this document are for the purpose of governing the use of district data processing and communications resources provided to employees conduction school business and students meeting instructional requirements. These regulations form an alignment with the mission and goals established and implemented by the Flour Bluff Information Technology Department.

Users may not log on to their account to give access to unauthorized users.
Users may not install software of hardware on Flour Bluff ISD computers.
Users may not in any way modify the configuration of computer equipment.
Users may not place permanent markings or stick-ons on computer equipment.
Users may use email primarily for the purpose of conducting school business.
Users will contact the IT department for computer-related needs and problems.
Indecent or abusive activities on computer equipment is strictly prohibited.
Operating system and administrative software will be centralized within the IT department.
Classroom applications will be centralized within campus libraries or computer labs.
Instructors may not use students for noninstructional computer and network configurations.
