Use the Para Classroom application if you want to work with students. You will need to have completed at least 45 college hours for this position. Individuals may also qualify if they have state-approved paraprofessional training and meet the following minimum criteria: (1) be a high school graduate or hold a general education diploma (GED) certificate; and (2) have experience working with students or parents as approved by the employing superintendent. Experience may be working in church related schools, day camps, youth groups, private schools, licensed day-care centers, or similar experience.
Use the Para Clerical application if you are interested in working in an office environment. You will need to have at least a high school diploma or GED and office/software/computer experience.
Use the Support Staff application if you are looking for a position for Diagnostician, Speech Pathologist/CYI, Speech Therapist, Assistant Speech Pathologist, or Registered Nurse.
For Substitute Teachers, you can drop by our Administration Building, located at 2505 Waldron Road anytime between 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or call for an application at 361-694-9216 or we can mail you one. You can email a request to jrevels@flourbluffschools.net. The application requires a W4 form; I-9 form with a copy of two documents (a list of documents that can be used is included and those documents can be copied at our office); copy of a college transcript if you have completed at least a bachelors degree, a current (done within 120 days of the first day of employement) negative TB test result and finally, a retirement savings form that lists a beneficiary. Please note that sub applications can take up to 3 weeks to process once we have everything we need to work with. Your patience will be appreciated.
