The Flour Bluff I.S.D. special education department serves between 650-725 students annually. This service covers 13 disability conditions and is available on all campuses including Alternative Schools when appropriate. A wide variety of related services are available such as: Counseling, Speech therapy, Occupational therapy, Physical therapy, transportation, and adaptive P.E. Through a shared service agreement with Corpus Christi I.S.D., our students may attend the Regional School for the Deaf. Flour Bluff is the host district for Special Olympics. We have trained staff in the Boys Town Curriculum for Well Managed Classrooms. This allows us to provide instruction in social interactions for those students who have difficulty interacting with teachers and peers in the regular mainstream. This further enhances student's ability to recognize and accept responsibility for their actions. On the horizon is a monthly information meeting with parents on topics of interest to them. This is the outgrowth of parent requests. For further information call (361) 694-9231. | ||||||||||||
