STUDENTS WILL DEVELOP CONFIDENCE IN THEIR ABILITY TO USE THEIR COMMUNICATION SKILLS TO MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THEIR SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY- Students will use their writing and speaking skills to compete in school-related and non-school related contests and projects that reflect positively on their school and community, helping to make their immediate environment better in some way.

STUDENTS WILL UNDERSTAND HOW COMMUNICATION SKILLS CAN HELP SOLVE PROBLEMS IN EVERYDAY LIFE– Students will take part in projects where they direct the discussion, planning, and initiation of viable solutions to problems in their day-to-day lives both in and out of school by using their speaking and writing skills to inform and persuade.
