Flour Bluff High School has been the Texas nominee for the Navy League Award as the Best NJROTC Unit in the Nation in every school since 1997. The Navy Manager for NJROTC has indicated that there is no program anywhere in the nation that is as well rounded and as well run as Flour Bluff’s. The unit strives to be leaders in Community Service, in Cadet Involvement, in Academic Achievement, in Competitive Teams, and these efforts are coupled with similar strengths in every other measurable criteria of excellence. There is no program in the Nation that would come close to approaching the sustained level of superior performance and excellence displayed by the Unit at Flour Bluff High School.
